Located in Borrego Springs, the ABDNHA Desert Garden is a place of reflection and beauty, alive with plants, birds, and butterflies, in the heart of Borrego Springs, featuring plants from the deserts of North America and from around the world. Much has been accomplished since the creation of our garden began just three years ago. Stop by to see the transformation the next time you are in Borrego Springs.
Stroll across a wooden bridge over a dry creek bed to enter a unique desert garden, artistically designed with creatively placed plants and interesting outdoor spaces. Trees such as palo verde, mesquite, and palms provide shade and shelter for birds, butterflies, and other desert dwellers. An area has also been set aside for plants representing the agricultural history of Borrego Springs.
We are now in the third phase of our garden, an inner plaza is being developed, new areas have been prepared for planting, and funding is needed for plant purchases, artwork, interpretive displays, and the always essential maintenance that a garden requires.
