Do you have a car, truck, motorcycle, boat, trailer or RV sitting around that is no longer being used? Donating a vehicle is a great way to support ABDNHA while freeing up valuable space in your driveway or garage! Vehicle donations are tax-deductible, and we make it easy with free pick-up and by providing you with the necessary tax receipts.
Note: Donated vehicles do not have to be in working order as long as they can be towed.
How the Process Works
1. Submit your donation request. Call 855-500-7433 | 855-500-RIDE or submit an online vehicle donation form at https://careasy.org/nonprofit/anza-borrego-desert-association. Our Vehicle Donation Support Team will help complete the donation form and confirm your pick-up information.
2. Schedule your free vehicle pick-up. In most cases, your vehicle pick-up can be scheduled within three business days once the donation record has been completed. We arrange to have a licensed tow company pick up your vehicle at a time convenient for you. The vehicle will be taken to one of our many sale locations where it will be sold – all at no cost to you.
3. ABDNHA receives the funds, and you may qualify for a tax deduction! In most cases, when the driver arrives for your tax-deductible gift, you’ll be provided with the donation receipt. You will be mailed a thank you letter within 30 days of the sale of the vehicle, which also serves as a donation tax receipt.
