Oak Trees provide shade on a hot day

When flowers are in bloom, on a sunny day in early summer, this can be a marvelous walk. The trail crosses the Sunrise Highway at mile 37 at the Fages Monument. It can be followed westward to the Stonewall Mine and Highway 79, or eastward across the Pacific Crest Trail and down Oriflamme Canyon to Mason Valley and Box Canyon.
