Egg Mountain rises to an altitude of only 915 feet. For people looking for a walk that is less than strenuous, this may be just the place. It can be wonderful when the light fills the Carrizo Badlands at sunrise, or as the shadows crawl across them at sunset. Don't forget to look not just in front of you but also behind you.

From County Road S-2, take the dirt road to Bow Willow campground. Egg Mountain is on your right. Where the road turns north, you'll notice a road to the top of the mountain.
