Bow Willow from Egg Mountain — Sombrero Peak in the Distance

The state park's Bow Willow campground is on the site of a former Indian village. It's easy to see why the Indians chose to live here. Bow Willow is a large valley that the Indians undoubtedly found close to hunting and gathering.

For visitors today. It is close to everything from 4WD drives through the Carrizo Badlands to the strenuous climb to Sombrero Peak, to easy walks to places like Mountain Palm Springs and Egg Mountain.
