Peirson's Brown-eyed Evening Primrose, Camissonia claviformis

One of Anza-Borrego's favorite and most common wildflowers, Peirson's Brown-eyed Evening Primrose may have yellow flowers or a mixture of white and pink flowers. The yellow flowers abound inthe southern desert around Ocotillo and the Coyote Mountains (Painted Gorge, Fossil Canyon), while the white and pink flowers seem to prefer the northern areas such as the Borrego Valley and Coyote Canyon.
